Neighborhood Council System Reforms Motion

Introduced by Councilman David Ryu on May 25 the motion indicates a broad 90 day feedback period to give time to Neighborhood Councils to submit Community Impact Statements.

The list includes an item that the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment be INSTRUCTED, with assistance as needed from the CLA, CAO, City Clerk and City Attorney to report back within 60 days on a list of 6 recommendations including recommendations and next steps for developing and adopting a planning and land use training required for all Chairs and Vice-Chairs of Neighborhood Council planning and land use committees.
