The City of Los Angeles verifies several transit-related definitions that originate from state law, including their implementation as it pertains to affordable housing incentive programs. 

Please see the linked memo, Methodology for Determining Bus Transit Service Levels; Implementation of Rapid Bus Provisions of the Transit Oriented Communities Program, regarding implementation of transit-related definitions. The updates include:

• Alignment with Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG)’s methodology to allow for: 
• Family lines; and
• One direction with at least 15-minute service intervals to qualify.
• Clarification of minor differences in Major Transit Stops for Density Bonus and TOC
