Happy Earth Month! If you’re passionate about protecting California’s coastline and communities from plastic pollution, WE NEED YOU!

On April 16 at 5:00 PM, join Heal the Bay and 5 Gyres, in partnership with Reusable LAStory of StuffSurfrider, and Californians Against Waste, for a virtual training designed to empower you with the tools and knowledge needed to address plastic pollution California. Learn the power of grassroots activism and how YOU can use your voice to lead impactful campaigns that drive change.Register Now!Master the tools to make a difference:Understand key plastic pollution policies.Craft persuasive messages for decision-makers.Make impactful calls to representatives.Submit compelling written comments on active legislation.The workshop will cover specific policies in California and Los Angeles, including SB 1167, a bill that will promote the use of reusable cups in California, and the City of Los Angeles Comprehensive Plastics Program. After learning about these policies and how to use advocacy tools, there will be an opportunity to put these newfound skills to the test by contacting key decision-makers during the workshop!
