Hearing notice, Q&A sheet, and draft ordinance for the Farmers’ Markets Code Amendment project (CPC-2011-1330-CA).

A staff hearing will take place in Room 1030 of City Hall on Wednesday, July 20 at 10 a.m.  The final day to submit public comments will be August 15, 2011.

The Farmers’ Markets project stems from a motion from Councilmembers Wesson and Koretz, introduced in November 2010 (Council File #10-1382 – available at: http://clkrep.lacity.org/onlinedocs/2010/10-1832_mot_11-19-10.pdf ).

In April 2011, Planning staff presented a report to the Planning & Land Use Management Committee.  The PLUM Committee instructed the Department to develop an ordinance (the PLUM report is available at:  http://clkrep.lacity.org/onlinedocs/2010/10-1832_RPT_PLAN_04-01-11.pdf ).
