Parks Commission Meeting In Glassell Park, 6/15/11, 9:30 am –

Board of Recreation and Parks Commissioners is scheduled to meet in your community at the Glassell Park Recreation Center beginning at 9:30 a.m.  Please see the attached agenda (there are also two additional “special meeting” agendas with a few additional items; see RAP agenda webpage http://www.laparks.org/commissionerhtm/2011/11agendas.htm ).

This is a rare opportunity for you to conveniently attend a meeting of this Commission and  provide public comment if you wish.

One item of particular interest is Report No. 11-185, the installation of cellular telecommunication equipment in City Parks.  The report is available online at http://www.laparks.org/commissionerhtm/pdf2011/jun15/11-185.pdf
Many persons have expressed concerns about such installations within City parks and if Neighborhood Councils would receive timely notifications (i.e. at least 60 days prior to consideration).
