UPDATE on HILLSIDE AREA AMENDMENT

UPDATE on HILLSIDE AREA AMENDMENT

The following was received from Eric Lopez, Department of City Planning, regarding the Hillside Area Amendment

Greetings All:

I haven’t officially received the agenda yet, but I have reason to believe that the Hillside Area Amendment is still going to be on the September 8, 2009 Planning & Land Use Management Committee Meeting agenda. Since I will be out of the office tomorrow (on furlough) and City Hall is closed on Monday (Labor Day), I wanted to give you all an advance reminder about this meeting.

However, I do recommend that you verify this status tomorrow (when the agendas are typically released), or sometime during the weekend, whether this item is on the agenda or not. Please go to the Council Calendar website (http://lacity.org/lacity/YourGovernment/CityCouncil/CouncilCalendar/index.htm) and go to September 8. If you still have any questions about this meeting I will try to get back to you on Tuesday morning.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. and will be located in:

Board of Public Works Edward R. Roybal Hearing Room
200 N. Spring St., Room 350
Los Angeles, CA 90012

If you can’t make it to the meeting, you can also listen to it over a touch-tone phone by calling CouncilPhone at (213) 621-CITY, (310) 547-CITY, (310) 471-CITY, or at (818) 904-9450.

If approved by PLUM, the next step will be a City Council vote on the proposed ordinance; that date has not been determined.

You can track the progress of the case and download any available public documents at the LACityClerk Connect website (http://cityclerk.lacity.org/lacityclerkconnect/index.cfm). The Council File Number for the Hillside Area Amendment is 09-1390.

If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Erick Lopez, City Planner
