The City of Los Angeles is proposing to provide congestion relief along Olympic Boulevard and Pico Boulevard between Centinela Avenue and Fairfax Avenue with the Olympic West-Pico East Initiative.

As part of the Environmental Review Process, The City of Los Angeles is hosting three public scoping meetings on the proposed Olympic West – Pico East Initiative in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The purpose of the meetings is to receive public comment regarding the scope of the environmental analysis being prepared for this project.

The scoping meetings will be held in an open house format. There will be no formal presentation; instead, participants are encouraged to arrive at their convenience. During the open house, members of the City of Los Angeles’ Project Management, Engineering, and Environmental teams will be available to speak with you about the proposed project, proposed project alternatives, and potential environmental impacts.

It is not too late to participate. The scoping process provides agencies and the public with an opportunity to provide input on the scope of the environmental impacts to be analyzed in the Draft Environmental Impact Report. During the public scoping meetings, anyone wishing to comment will be able to do so via comment forms or public testimony. The City of Los Angeles, Department of Public Works, Bureau of Engineering is the lead agency for the CEQA process. This is the City Department responsible for the design and construction of all public facilities, streets, sewers, storm drains, and private development affecting public right of way for the City of Los Angeles.
