On August 25, 2016, the City Planning Commission will consider the proposed update to the Small Lot Subdivision (“SLS”) Ordinance and make a recommendation to the City Council. The proposed Code Amendment is part of a comprehensive update of the existing SLS Ordinance, and is in response to the input received throughout the public comment process. Changes may still be made before the City Council’s final decision.

The ordinance would create a new process to grant legal status to certain existing unapproved dwelling units located in multi-family zones when dedicated affordable housing is being provided on site and other performance standards are met.
