The City of Los Angeles’ Department of Transportation and its consultant (TMD) have completed their analysis and made preliminary recommendations to address the substantial funding shortfall in LADOT’s transit programs over the next decade.  The financial deficit in LADOT’s transit programs is projected at $350 million  over the next decade, including a projected $23 million shortfall in Fiscal Year 2010-11.  Each of the four areas receiving LADOT transit services is affected, including DASH, Commuter Express, Cityride, and Charter Bus.
