Proposed Olympic and Paralympic Ordinance

Proposed Olympic and Paralympic Ordinance

Dear Interested Parties:
In response to City Council’s instruction (CF 15-0989-S47) and as the City prepares to host the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Los Angeles City Planning is announcing the release of the proposed Olympic & Paralympic Planning and Zoning Exemption Ordinance for public review and feedback. The proposed ordinance exempts certain Games-related projects on private property from planning and zoning review in the lead up to the 2028 Games to facilitate the successful and timely execution of the Games.
City Planning staff welcomes your comments and feedback which will be taken into consideration for the recommendation report to the City Planning Commission (CPC). You can find the full proposed ordinance using the link below. The public comment period is now open and you may submit comments at planning.olympics@lacity.org.
