Amended Regional Housing Needs Assessment Appeals Board Hearing Notice

Draft Regional Housing Needs Assessment Allocation Appeals Hearing Update

The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) originally noticed the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) Allocation Appeals Hearing on Dec. 16, 2020. As previously indicated, this public hearing related to the filed appeals on the draft RHNA Allocation Methodology will take place over the course of seven days in January 2021: Jan. 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 19 and 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. SCAG has amended the notice because one local jurisdiction, Pico Rivera, has had its hearing continued from Jan. 8 to Jan. 22.;

Please note that all public hearings are currently in virtual format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Click here to view the public hearing notice.

All submitted appeals are posted online at scag.ca.gov/rhna-appeals-filed. The public hearing will provide an opportunity for jurisdictions who filed an appeal to present their appeal on the draft RHNA allocation on one or more jurisdictions to the RHNA Appeals Board. The full guidelines for the appeals process and procedure are available on the SCAG RHNA webpage at scag.ca.gov/rhna.

Public comments on RHNA may be submitted to housing@scag.ca.gov.
