Education Program:  CEQA.  Los Angeles City Land Use Committees have a significant role in the review of discretionary projects in our communities. Part of this review includes consideration of the environmental impacts of a project. The March PlanCheckNC meeting will  give a review of the City’s environmental review process under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), including the public input process. This workshop will provide information on environmental determinations, types of environmental documents, the CEQA statues and City implementing ordinances and Significance Thresholds used to inform the environmental review process.  The program will also include the latest updates from the State and how Land Use Committees can better participate in the environmental review process.
