Metro’s transportation agenda is In The Works with the 30/10 Initiative to leverage Measure R revenues as collateral for long-term bonds and a federal loan to allow Metro to build key mass transit projects in 10 years, rather than 30 years. The initiative is gaining widespread support among labor, business, the media and mobility advocates throughout the region. Over the next six weeks, two of Metro’s significant Measure R projects will be hosting public hearings, and Metro will be co-sponsoring the Ninth Annual Mobility 21 Southern California Transportation Summit.
