Al Fresco Ordinance Questions
Please see below for responses to Plan Check’s questions re: Al Fresco ordinance:
Regarding the two specific topics of concern, ADA compliance and trees in the public right-of way, BOE would consider these issues as part of their review of revocable sidewalk permits. See the links below, one for Al Fresco sidewalk dining and the other for the permanent revocable sidewalk dining permits.

If they have any follow up questions, you may share the contact information for our colleague at BOE who is working on Al Fresco in the public right-of-way: Tanat Satidkit, Tanat.Satidkit@lacity.org.
Please feel free to share with all the Plan Check members. We are evaluating modifications to the initial draft of the Al Fresco ordinance that will address parking lot requirements, operations, permitting compliance, alcohol authorization, and more, with an expected release at the end of March.
Let us know if you have any questions. See you on Saturday!
Best,
Jamie
