The Healthy Buildings, Healthy Places Design Guide builds upon the Plan for a Healthy Los Angeles and the Citywide Design Guidelines by reinforcing linkages between health, equity, and planning; and recognizing the role that building design can play in promoting favorable health outcomes, particularly in communities of color that have long suffered from disinvestment.
