With City Council’s approval of the first year of the Comprehensive Zoning Code Revision work program, the Department of City Planning has prepared and released a Request for Proposals (RFP).  For those of you who don’t know what an RFP is, it’s essentially an announcement and description of an opportunity to bid on a City contract.

Over the next few months, we will be receiving, reviewing, and selecting a team of consultant to assist City staff in drafting the new Zoning Code.  This is an exciting time for us at the Department, and we look forward to working with you all on this initiative.

FOR PROSPECTIVE CONSULTANTS

Beginning on Friday, July 20, 2012, prospective proposers can access and download the complete Request for Proposals (RFP) at the Los Angeles Business Assistance Virtual Network (LABAVN) website: http://www.labavn.org.  Prior registration is required.  It is essential that prospective proposers download the RFP from the LABAVN website as downloading from the website will ensure that proposers automatically receive email notification(s) regarding the RFP, including posted questions and answers, and any amendments.   The deadline to submit is Friday, August 31, 2012 at 4 PM.
