Preliminary Recommendations from LADOT Transit Services Analysis
The City of Los Angeles’ Department of Transportation and its consultant (TMD) have completed their analysis and made preliminary recommendations to address the substantial funding shortfall in LADOT’s transit programs over the next decade. The financial deficit in LADOT’s transit programs is projected at $350 million over the next decade, including a projected $23 million shortfall in Fiscal Year 2010-11. Each of the four areas receiving LADOT transit services is affected, including DASH, Commuter Express, Cityride, and Charter Bus.
The Department requests your assistance in informing riders and interested non-riders of the preliminary recommendations. Please encourage them to either attend the upcoming public hearings or to submit their comments in one of three ways:
– On the Internet — Go to http://ladotlbl.tmdinc.net
– Telephone – Call LADOT’s Service Suggestion Line and leave a recorded message at 213 455-0880
– Mail – Send suggestions to LADOT at 201 N. Los Angeles Street, #18B, Los Angeles, CA
