On June 28, 2022, the Los Angeles City Council adopted a motion (CF 22-0392) instructing Los Angeles City Planning to draft an amendment to the Zoning Code to permit digital signage related to Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority’s (Metro) Transportation Communication Network (TCN). Follow up on the brief report given at the 11-8-14 PlanCheckNC meeting. The LA Curbed article contains a map that shows where Lamar Advertising would like to install 45 new digital billboards and discusses the recent Superior Court ruling that challenges the validity of the City’s 2002 sign ordinance and ban on new billboards (which Lamar’s digital signs would be).
