Community Care Facilities Ordinance Report released

June 27th, 2014

The Department of City Planning has released a report making new recommendations regarding the proposed Community Care Facilities Ordinance (CCFO). Some of you may recall the CCFO when it was being discussed several years ago. The City Council was unable to reach consensus on the matter when it was finally brought forth on January 31, 2013, and as a result decided to form an Ad Hoc Council Committee on Community Care Facilities. Community Care Facilities – update

December 2nd, 2010

The City Planning Department’s Proposed Ordinance regulating Boarding Homes and Community Care Facilities is still pending.  Current information has this ordinance coming before the City Planning Commission on Thursday, February 10th.   We will confirm with you closer to the time, but please put it in your 2011 calendars and save the date!
Below is a request from LA Coalition for Neighborhoods’ to sign their Petition.  They have more than 188 signatures and the comments are great, but need many, many more people to sign.

I will also be forwarding comments and sample resolutions from NCs.  This is a good ordinance, but your NC, Association or individual stakeholders may have concerns or areas that they feel should be strengthened or modified.  There is still time to get your resolutions and comments in.  Be sure to encourage others to review and comment as soon as possible in order for their comments to be considered for the final draft of the ordinance.

Share this information with your networks.
