Bicycle Parking Ordinance at CPC on July 14

Please find attached the Supplemental Staff Report for the Bicycle Parking Ordinance to be heard at the City Planning Commission on July 14, 2011.  The hearing will take place Downtown, in Room 350 of City Hall, sometime after 8:30 a.m.

An earlier version of this ordinance was heard by the CPC on May 12, 2011.  For comparison, the initial staff report from the May 12 hearing may be found at:

Update: Bicycle Parking & Modified Parking District Ordinances

The City Planning Commission’s consideration of the Bicycle Parking Ordinance and the Modified Parking Requirement (MPR) District Ordinance, both continued until May 26th, will be continued again until June 9th.

Proposed Code Amendment for Bicycle Parking

The proposed code amendment for bicycle parking spaces is scheduled for a staff hearing on March 30, 2011.  PLEASE NOTE:  The modified parking plan hearing is also being held on the same date.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES – For all those two-wheeled commuters, there are only four more days to weigh in on the Planning Commission’s draft bicycle plan.

The plan proposes new bike lanes and other bike-friendly infrastructure throughout the city. Public input and recommendations can be made online at -but only through Jan. 8.

This is every cyclist’s chance to advocate for more bike lanes and other bike-friendly infrastructure in Los Angeles.
