Project Name: Amendments to Mobility Plan 2035

The City Planning Commission of the City of Los Angeles will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at approximately 8:30am or soon thereafter in the John Ferraro Council Chamber, Room 340, City Hall, 200 North Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012

City Council initiated amendments
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The amendments involve a minor text revision, as well as four modifications to the enhanced network maps. City Council proposed the four map modifications at its meeting of May 13, 2016.

The text revision clarifies that corridors along the Bicycle Enhanced Network (BEN) could be substituted with an alternative parallel corridor if it serves a similar purpose and is supported by operational studies and community engagement. The map modifications proposed by City Council include: removing Westwood Boulevard from the BEN and in its stead adding Gayley Avenue/Midvale Avenue; removing Central Avenue between Jefferson Boulevard and Imperial Highway from the BEN and in its stead adding Avalon Boulevard; adding a segment of Sen Pedro Street to the BEN; and amending the Neighborhood Enhanced Network to include 16th street in the Central City area.

Director of Planning initiated amendments
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The amendments involve two relatively minor revisions to the enhanced network maps. The map revisions would add Central Avenue between 1st Street and Imperial Highway to the Pedestrian Enhanced District, and would add Central Avenue between 95th Street and Imperial Highway to the Bicycle Enhanced Network.
