The Department of City Planning’s Office of Historic Resources is proposing procedural amendments to the City’s Cultural Heritage Ordinance (Section 22.171 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code) in order to improve the processing of Historic-Cultural Monument (local landmark) nominations.

The Department will be taking public comments on the proposed changes through July 5th; please submit comments to me directly at ken.bernstein@lacity.org. The amendments are expected to be considered by the City Council this summer.
