Affordable Housing

• Who qualifies – What is the maximum income?
• How much are the rents?
• Who lives in them, what are their jobs?
• Where does the government funding money come from? What are the restrictions and • requirements on its use?

• Can the community change the design and location if they dislike it? Why does it get “incentives”?
• What kind of design elements are required?
• Where can it be situated?
• Why is parking reduced?

We welcome Maurice Ramirez, who works at AMCAL Multi-Housing and has built new affordable housing apartments throughout California and preserved old hotels in the mid-Wilshire area, using city, county and state taxpayer funds.
