MTA Open House

The Federal Transit Agency (FTA) and Metro have prepared a Final Environmental Impact Statement/ Environmental Impact Report (Final EIS/EIR) for the Regional Connector Transit Corridor Project. The 30-day review period began Friday, January 20, 2012 and will end on Tuesday, February 21, 2012.The document is available for viewing and can be downloaded online at http://www.metro.net/projects/connector/connector-final-eiseir/.
You are invited to attend one of two community Open House meetings for the project scheduled for early February; content at both meetings will be identical. The purpose of these Open Houses is to make staff available to answer questions about the Final EIS/EIR document.

How Can You Participate Further?

The Metro Board of Directors will meet twice to discuss this document. You are invited to attend and to consider speaking on the topic at either or both meetings. Due to time constraints, you are encouraged to bring a written statement that you can read from and then hand deliver to the Board should you run out of time.

Staff will present the findings of the Final EIS/EIR, and the Committee will make a recommendation to the Metro Board of Directors.

February 23, 2012
Metro Board of Directors
Staff will again present the findings of the Final EIS/EIR, and the Metro Board of Directors will make the final recommendation regarding the project’s next steps.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to express your opinions to the Board, you can submit comments to the Metro Board Secretary, Michelle Jackson.
